In 2025, the domestic film market was a whirlwind of highlights, with box office revenue surging by over 20% year-on-year. Unexpectedly, nearly half of them come from the contribution of cartoons, from the popularity of Ne Zha 2 at the beginning of the year to the reverse attack of Nobody in summer, and then to the resounding victory of Zootopia 2 at the end of the year. Once regarded as “exclusive to children”, has now become a beloved pastime for the whole family. Reviewing the success of these films and delving into the stories behind their production teams, we uncovered a timeless truth in this era of fragmented entertainment: amid the temptation of quick cash from traffic, animators have proven with years of unwavering dedication that focus and perseverance never go unrewarded.

The 3 million fans of ZOSE Cinemas feel it even more acutely. ZOSE International Cinema (Guoxiu City Branch) in Haikou is a prime example of ever-growing value. First opened in early 2014, this cinema once set a brilliant record of ranking among the top five in national box office for single branches, thanks to the boost of being Haikou's first IMAX theater. Over the past decade, keeping pace with technological advancements, the IMAX theater of this branch has undergone three screen replacements. In June 2025, it invested heavily in completing the upgrade to become Hainan's first next-generation laser IMAX theater, and its ultimate viewing experience has been wildly popular among audiences.
