From January 25 to January 29, 2018, the first session of the Seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held in Haikou. 373 CPPCC members from various political parties and groups, ethnic groups in our province gathered together closely to give advice and suggestions on major issues of economic and social development in our province and contributed wisdom and strength to accelerating the construction of a beautiful new Hainan Province.

On the morning of the 29th, the successful conclusion of all the agenda ended. The new provincial CPPCC leadership was elected. Mao Wanchun was elected as the new chairman of the provincial CPPCC. Ma Yongxia, Li Guoliang, Shi Yiyun, Wang Yong, Wu Yanjun, Chen Malin, Meng Xiaolin and Hou Maofeng were elected vice chairman, Wang Xiong is elected secretary-general, chairman of ZOSE Group Liu Wenjun were elected provincial CPPCC Standing Committee.
